The Archangel’s Boots are invaluable for many boss fights in Act 2 — including the battles ahead in Octagonia.

Octagonia Casino Prize Tiers

I bought the recipe (the greatsword), and the bonus exp armor. But now I’m thinking I shouldn’t have thrown away 100k on the greatsword and instead saved it for the prizes at the next casino. Wait until later when you get to another casino and play roulette using that trick from DQ8 and bam easy money if you’re lucky or even if you aren’t lucky really because the autosave to the tables is literally right before the tables. The casinos in general are tilted in your favour to the point where once you hit a certain threshold of tokens it actually becomes impossible to make an overall loss provided you keep at it.

Slime Slots & Metal Mode Tactic

I believe you need that boss for the platinum, because one of Jade’s costumes is connected to beating him.Thank you again for your amazing guide!

You can speak to her multiple times in a row, and the result probably won’t be the same each time.

Before the countdown reached sixteen, I’d already secured everything I desired from the token exchange and was diligently grinding for a substantial haul.

You do not need to double down consecutively on the same hand if you’re not feeling it (so long as you do not leave the table), you can play more hands and go to Double-or-Nothing again to continue unlocking it.

Once you enter the city and trigger the events in Octagonia, you will not be able to visit the Puerto Valor Casino until the events are finished. When you are finished, head toward Octagonia. From here, hop down the cliff and head to the northwest portion of this alcove to find more tracks leading up a cliff. Defeat it (mount it), then head up the tracks to find another new Sparkly Spot containing Brighten Rock.

It has a Monster Arena, slot machines, and a poker table. They can also bet on the color — row, column, section, or corners. Introduced in VIII, Bingo gives the player a bingo board with 24 set values plus a free space in the center.

Shop now and enjoy up to 50% off your favorite gaming gear at Amazon!

In Dragon Quest IV DS and Dragon Quest V — the Monster Arena is the best way to win coins as it gives the player a high return if the player wins the bet.

To land a jackpot (a number of highly unlikely occurrences need to), well, occur.

I do discuss obtaining the Sainted Soma earlier while actually at the Puerto Valor Casino, but the Casino closing is definitely worth mentioning.

A superior casino appears much farther into the game, featuring a roulette setup where near-certain jackpot wins become plausible.

There is a new chest accessible in the second time you visit the Emerald Coast (in the east region), between the two new sparkling spots, with an Enchanted Stone in it.

I became aware of that line after I finished the guide, and I’ve only been able to get it pop once in literally hundreds of return trips.

Let’s discuss the prizes (but before you go on a spending spree), there is something else we need to do first. There is a chance of running into Vicious Liquid Metal Slimes — but it’s not worth venturing into the area for that purpose alone. The Caverns Under Octagonia has a new hodge-podge of enemies, but no new entries and nothing else new. Speak to the girl with a red ribbon just before you head up the stairs into the Casino. There is a sub-quest you can partake in; it is not marked on the map but leads to an actual Quest. Make sure you re-equip Jade with your best gear.

Your current losing streak surpasses anything I’ve ever witnessed—after dedicating roughly sixty hours solely to Roulette spins. **However**, you *must* possess it by then if you’ve successfully activated the superior of the two available lines! I’m questioning my approach, despite its apparent simplicity: every time I confirm with “yes,” I’m prompted to place another bet. I’m calling it quits for now—my only deviation was engaging the puff-puff girl upon entering. 4 hours later, 300+ spins and still no jackpot. While discussing the Sainted Soma’s acquisition at Puerto Valor Casino, the casino’s closure is a notable detail worth highlighting.

The more gear you outfit your active characters with, the higher your winning probabilities climb!
