A high fashion runway walk and a pageant walk have some similarities, but there are also significant differences in terms of their purpose, style, and execution.

The purpose of a high fashion runway walk is to showcase the designer’s clothing and create a mood or concept for the collection. The focus is on the clothing, and the models are expected to move in a way that accentuates the garments and conveys the designer’s vision. High fashion models typically walk with a confident, but understated, demeanor and a straight posture. Their movements are precise and deliberate, with long strides and minimal arm movement. Modeling has always been a career that has enticed me due to its elegant yet competitive nature. Growing up, I used to always watch miss universe shows and they inspired me to go down that route. In particular, seeing what Pia Wurtzbach was able to do after winning the pageant really touched me because she used her fame to help the less fortunate people. It wasn’t until February 2020 that I finally built up the confidence to walk for House of Ikons during London fashion week. After I participated in this runway show, I started training to be a runway model. Ever since then, I’ve modeled for various designers on the runway.

For me, modeling is not only about appearance but it’s also about how you present yourself to others. It’s how you display your personality and charisma to an audience without even having to converse with them. Personally, being a model allows you to express yourself and feel empowered in a way no other career can. Moreover, It ignites this passion and drives you to be the best version of yourself which I adore!

In regards to my achievements in the fashion industry, I believe that I have accomplished a lot in the limited time that I have been in this profession.

My first ever runway show was during February’s London fashion week 2020 where I walked for the Filipino designer, Bladimir Sigua. Despite the fact that many events were cancelled due to the global pandemic, I still pursued modelling.

In July, I trained with the CEO/ Founder of House of Ikons and completed the six modules of model training.

Since then I have attended many training sessions where we practised our high fashion and pageant walks which may seem similar initially,
